RSC Activities in Africa

The RSC is involved in activities in Africa spanning from sponsorship of a chemistry trailer in South Africa, distribution of educational materials in Kenya and the Archives for Africa scheme.  

The two local sections in South Africa and the RSC representatives are involved in many of these activities. 

The RSC are also strong supporters of the newly developing Federation of African Societies of Chemistry  (FASC).


International Cooperation Agreement, South African Chemical Institute

In March 2007, the RSC signed a five-year International Cooperation Agreement with the South African Chemical Institute (SACI)
