MEDCHEM Symposium: at the 43rd IUPAC World Chemistry Congress, 1 August 2011, Puerto Rico Convention Centre, San Juan


Introduction

The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), the Brazilian Society of Chemistry (SBQ) and the Puerto Rico Society Chemical Society (CQPR) will host a MEDCHEM Symposium at the 43rd International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) World Chemistry Congress of 2011. 

This will be part of the scientific programme under the theme: Chemistry of Life.

Symposium Topic

Titled “Modern Medicinal Chemistry: Natural and Synthetic Molecules as Valuable Tools” this symposium will showcase cutting-edge and complementary medicinal chemistry approaches ranging from bioactive natural products to small molecule fragments. 

The aim is to bring together academics and industrialists to facilitate research collaborations in this area.
