CCS visit to the RSC

On 29 May 2007, the RSC welcomed a delegation containing representatives of the CCS and Sinopec. The days events were aimed to welcome the CCS and Sinopec to the UK, and to explore future links and collaboration opportunities.

This is an RSC initiative whereby top scientists, in recognition of their international contribution to the chemical sciences, are invited by the RSC to become an FRSC.

During the event, Professor Chunli Bai (President of the CCS) became the first Chinese scientist to be invited into Fellowship of the RSC through our prestigious Leaders in the Field Scheme since the signing of the CCS/RSC International Cooperation Agreement.

Professor Bai was presented his certificate by Professor Dave Garner, President-Elect of the RSC, during a ceremony, forming an important part of the visit.
