RSC/IIT Bombay Chemistry Department Symposium

The symposium, held in celebration of the IIT Bombay's Golden Jubilee, was very successful, attracting over 200 participants including many graduate students.

The meeting was opened by Professor Devang Khakhar, Director of IIT Bombay, the Head of the Chemistry Department, Professor Nand Kishore, and Dr Alejandra Palermo from the RSC.

UK and Indian Speakers delivered interesting and varied lectures that were very well received with all of  the talks being of the highest standard, followed by animated discussions. 

The interaction with the Indian industrial and academic community was excellent. A lively poster session took place over lunch with many students from the IITB exhibiting their work.
