William Johnson

William Johnson moved to UAE in 1978 after working in the UK as an Industrial Chemist. He then moved to Dubai in 1980, and has been involved with chemical control in the Power Station and Desalination Industry as well as water treatment, corrosion control and the supply of drinking water. He retired in 2006 and now works as a consultant.

As the International Representative of UAE, he organized the first meeting of UAE members. The majority of whom are expatriates working in both local Industry and Academic establishments. As the RSC has a close link with the University of the UAE, it is starting  to attract many undergraduate UAE Nationals as Student members. As in many other areas members, in conjunction with the RSC International Representative are trying to promote Chemistry in local schools and Universities, as well as network with each other.
