International Sections

What are the International Sections?

The RSC promotes the chemical sciences and supports members worldwide.

Our international activities are often based around an active group of members who form an International Section. Each International Section is run by a committee of members, including a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. All committee positions are honorary.

These sections respond to the particular needs of chemical scientists in their country and are involved in activities ranging from organising conferences and colloquia to sponsoring awards or community work.

Why get involved?

  • Keep up to date with the latest developments through lectures, symposia and local meetings
  • Develop a network of contacts in your own country and worldwide
  • Share your enthusiasm for the chemical sciences by getting involved with the local community
