2006 was a busy year for the RSC North India section, especially in its activities to promote chemistry to young people. 15 lectures were held at the University of Delhi by scientists from academia and industry, with speakers including Professor James White, from Oregon State University, USA and Professor Richard Weiss, from Langmuir, USA.
The section also sponsored workshops on green chemistry and current developments in atomic, molecular and optical physics.
