YADSTI 5th Annual Science Conference and Exhibition

The Youth Agency for the Development of Science, Technology and Innovation (YADSTI) organized their 5th annual conference which was the main event in its calendar of 2009.
The conference theme was 'Enhancing food security and health using modern technology for sustainable development in Africa'.
Over 350 students, lecturers, researchers and professionals attended this day-long event.
The conference started at 9:00 am with Dr Julius Mwambora, a representative of the Principal, College of Physical and Biological Science, University of Nairobi, giving the welcoming note.
Dr Romano Kiome, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture, was the keynote speaker who officially opened the conference.
