Activities

This section provides information on scientific events and educational activities taking place in Africa, including conferences and workshops organised or sponsored by the Pan Africa Chemistry Network.

It includes information on how African chemists can apply for travel grants to attend conferences within Africa and abroad, and about fellowships that will allow exchanges of researchers.

Resource materials will be available here to help science teachers and researchers to communicate their knowledge to students and peers. This will provide a strong skills base that should enhance effective networking and promote better understanding of the importance of chemistry and its role within their community and beyond. Schools outreach activities are an important aspect, and downloadable teaching resources which will be made available in 2009.

Outreach

With the importance of networking and encountering cutting edge research, we are hoping that this will be promoted through outreach schemes
