15 - 18 January 2006 UK-Singapore Symposium
The UK-Singapore symposium on physical organic chemistry was a bilateral meeting jointly organised by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Royal Society of Chemistry in association with the Singapore Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), the Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences (ICES), the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry (SNIC) and the National University of Singapore (NUS).
The three-day event was sponsored by the British High Commission in Singapore, the EPRSC and RSC.
The purpose of the meeting was to bring together senior and younger investigators from both countries working in the field of physical organic chemistry in the broadly defined area of complex chemical systems and this topic was chosen as it represented one of the priority scientific areas identified by the chemical science community in the UK. It also reflects the EPSRC and RSC's efforts to promote this area.
