Universities Sector

There are several universities in our area offering a range of full-time courses. Whilst not all offer 'mainstream' chemistry degrees, most offer courses in which chemistry plays a strong supporting role.

For some members full time study may not be an option and the RSC lists a number of part time and distance learning study options at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

A key feature of the Section's programme of events at Universities in 2005 has been the postgraduate mini-symposia at Imperial College (Inorganic & Organometallic Chemistry), School of Pharmacy (Organic & Pharmaceutical Chemistry) and University College (Physical & Theoretical Chemistry). Each event comprised a keynote lecture, a series of postgraduate talks and a poster session. We are grateful to Johnson Matthey and GE Healthcare for sponsorship.
