The Mid-Wales Local Section Trust covers Ceredigion and the Radnor and Montgomery districts of the County of Powys. The Section emphasises contact with primary and secondary schools and with other educational establishments within its extensive boundary. Members provide a school lecture service (often in association with the West Wales Association of Young Scientists), a careers advisory facility and organises a local Chemistry Olympiad. These activities are in addition to the lecture programme and other interests normally performed by Local Sections.
