The chemistry expertise resides within the UK business in the Technology Services and NIRAS (the radiochemical laboratories) departments, although the chemists and materials scientists support the whole of the nuclear business, reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of the work.

The materials and corrosion facilities provide fully equipped laboratories for physical and chemical testing of materials

Radiochemistry

The NIRAS radiochemistry facility consists of 20 self contained laboratories dedicated to the different facets of the sample analysis process
