NVQ Level 5 in Analytical Chemistry

The NVQ was developed in response to an anticipated need to confirm the competence of analytical chemists to comply with legislation, and to establish objective criteria for entry to the RSC Analytical Chemists Register. The first award was made in 2005 and seven candidates have completed the qualification.

NVQs run in three-year cycles, to ensure that the standards remain current and relevant. NVQs are being discontinued and replaced by a different suite of qualifications, and in view of the low numbers of candidates, our qualification will not be renewed.

Registration for the current cycle is now closed. Existing candidates who have already registered are not affected, and have until 31 March 2014 to complete the qualification.
