New and Improved for March 2007:

With new and improved features, Analytical Abstracts  has been thoroughly redeveloped to increase usability, making it an ideal and essential web resource for researchers interested in analytical and bioanalytical science.

• Abstracts from over 100 publications 
• Offers a high level of coverage from all areas of the field.
• Search functions have been significantly improved:
  • Introduction of a basic search box on the front page.
  • Advanced search is available: search by specialist index terms or by bibliographic data.    
• New Browse by Subject Area option.
• Ability to export results to both email and importantly to reference management software.      

All in all the new look AA is much improved and should be a key tool for those interested in analytical research. 

Searching

Searching Analytical Abstracts couldn't be easier with the new and improved search features. There are now two search options available: a basic search which enables you to search the entire database using keywords, and an advanced search which means you can search Analytical Abstracts by chemical name, technique and sample matrix. You can also browse the database by subject area. Whichever is easier, this flexible approach means that you can search the latest literature in different ways, depending on your needs to help you find exactly what you want.

Results

Analytical Abstracts now offers more choice in the way results can be sorted and displayed. Once you have a set of results you can either display them in a 'slimline' format or with full index terms, making it easier to view and sort your results. Results can also be ordered by date and publication type. Additional information is embedded in the text accessed via pop up boxes.

Exporting data

A popular new feature for Analytical Abstracts is the ability to export results to both email and to reference management software. This new feature makes searching and storing results effortless and uncomplicated!
