Amino acid derived homochiral polymers via ring-opening metathesis polymerisation

Abstract

Homochiral norbornene monomers derived from amino acids undergo ring-opening metathesis polymerisation with [Mo([double bond, length half m-dash]CHCMe2Ph)([double bond, length half m-dash]NC6H3Pri2-2,6)(OBut)2] to give homochiral polymers with narrow molecular mass distributions.
