Formation of conjugatedpolymer brushes by surface-initiated catalyst-transfer polycondensation

Abstract

Electroactive conjugatedpolymer brushes of poly(thiophene) and poly(phenylene) have been prepared via a surface-initiated Kumada-type polycondensation reaction, yielding films with a thickness up to 42 nm.
