Encapsulated chloride coordinating with two in–in protons of bridgehead amines in an octaprotonated azacryptand

An encapsulated chloride in a thiophene-based cryptand is bridged by two in–in protons of tertiary amines with an NCl- distance of 3.048(3) , similar to that observed in Park and Simmonskatapinand chloride complex.
