MgI2-accelerated enantioselective Morita–Baylis–Hillman reactions of cyclopentenone utilizing a chiral DMAPcatalyst

Abstract

Fu's planar chiral DMAP catalyst efficiently promotes the asymmetric Morita–Baylis–Hillman reactions of cyclopentenone with a variety of aldehydes in the presence of MgI2 as a cocatalyst.
