Four novel Zn(II)/Cd(II) MOFs were synthesized by pytpy and organic-acid mixed ligands, giving networks from 1D to 3D structures. The luminescence properties of 1–4 have been investigated by fluorescence emission spectra and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra in the crystalline state. The results show that those compounds display excellent fluorescence properties and possess high thermostability.

Hierarchically dendritic and flower-like cobalt superstructures are selectively synthesized by a facile hydrothermal process. The morphology of the products can be tuned simply by adjusting the composition of the reaction system and processing conditions. The products exhibit shape-dependent ferromagnetic properties at room temperature.

Four inorganic–organic hybrid molybdenum phosphates have been synthesized. The dimensionality and organization of those compounds can be tuned by the pH value of the reaction system.

Six novel cadmium(II) coordination polymers with fluconazole coligands have been prepared and characterized by several physical methods. The crystal structures show that the thiocyanate anion induces a conformational change on the flexile fluconazole ligand from anti–gauche to anti–anti.
