Call for papers: Chemical Dynamics of Large Amplitude Motion

20 August 2009

PCCP is delighted to announce a high-profile themed issue on "Chemical Dynamics of Large Amplitude Motion", which will be Guest Edited by David Nesbitt (University of Colorado, JILA) and Martin Suhm (Göttingen University) and is scheduled for publication in mid-2010. It is our pleasure to invite you to submit to this themed issue.

The role of Large Amplitude Motion in chemistry is pervasive and diverse - including topics such as vibrational spectroscopy, overtone activation, state-selected chemistry, quantum control, isomerization, quantum tunneling, pseudorotation, radical rearrangement, enzymatic activity, chirality, van der Waals dynamics, proton transfer, helium droplets, molecular recognition and biomolecular folding, to mention just a few. The aim of this themed issue is to provide an important forum for exploring these many different areas and to highlight their mutual relevance and underlying intellectual connections.

We believe such a themed issue is timely, and will make an important and lasting contribution to this area.

Deadline for Submission: 01 February 2010

Submissions should be high quality manuscripts of original, unpublished research. Both Communications and Full Papers can be submitted for consideration. All submissions will be subject to rigorous peer review to meet the usual high standards of PCCP.

  • The deadline for submissions to the themed issue is 01 February 2010, though submissions before this date are of course welcomed
  • All accepted contributions will be published online (in a fully citeable form) as soon as they are ready, and then published together in a single print themed issue in mid-2010.
  • The printed themed issue will be displayed at relevant high-profile conferences, maximising the visibility of work published.
  • All contributing authors will be sent a free copy of the printed issue.
  • Manuscripts can be easily submitted (in almost any electronic format and reasonable layout), either through the ReSourCe submissions service or as an email attachment to the PCCP Editorial Office. Please indicate on submission that your manuscript is intended for this themed issue.
