Impact Factor Trends of Physical Chemistry Journals

PCCP's Impact Factor rises to a new record high

PCCP is the only physical chemistry journal to show such a significant increase this year and as a result PCCP's Impact Factor has now overtaken that of most of its major competitors.

This impressive trend underlines the continuing success of PCCP. Coupled with fast publication times, which are significantly faster than others in the field, this news demonstrates PCCP is the natural home for the highest-quality research in physical chemistry, chemical physics and biophysical chemistry.

We are also delighted to announce that PCCP's new Immediacy Index (0.81)* is the highest value for any journal that publishes general primary research in the fields of physical chemistry and chemical physics for the 5th consecutive year.

We would like to thank our authors, referees and readers for their continued support which has led to these great results.

* The Immediacy Index is a measure of how topical and urgent the papers published by a journal are. The Immediacy Index is calculated by dividing the number of citations to articles published in a given year by the number of articles published in that year.
