May has worked for RSC Publishing since 2006, and was previously the Deputy Editor for Analyst, JAAS, Metallomics and Analytical Methods. Prior to working at the RSC, she completed a PhD in inorganic chemistry at the University of Bristol, and spent two years as a Post-Doctoral Associate at the University of Calgary in Canada.
