International Symposium on Metallomics 2007

24 July 2007

Issue 8, 2008 of JAAS features a collection of articles which were presented at the International Symposium on Metallomics 2007 which was held in Nagoya, Japan. These highlight the increasingly important role of atomic spectrometry in metallomics research.

Cover for JAAS, Issue 8, 2008
The issue includes a Perspective by Wolfgang Maret and Yuan Li on 'Human Metallothionein Metallomics' and Hot Articles by Asuncion Carmona and co-workers and Izumi Nakai and colleagues. Both articles describe X-ray fluorescence imaging of metals in biological systems using synchrotron radiation.

Building on the very succesful meeting in Nagoya, the 2009 International Symposium on Metallomics will be held on June 7th - 10th, 2009 in Cincinnati, US.
