ISM 09 prize winners

Congratulations to Christine BrauckmannAlma Rosa Corrales Escobosa and Daniel Pröfrock, poster prize winners at the 2009 International Symposium on Metallomics (ISM '09) held from 7-10 June in Cincinnati, OH, USA, and cobadged by Metallomics.

The emerging field of metallomics was celebrated at the conference and an award was given each day for the outstanding poster of the session. The conference was a very enjoyable meeting with sessions covering human metallomics, microbial metallomics, metallomics technology, phytometallomics and environmental metallomics.

Look out for our themed issue featuring work presented at the conference which will be published in early 2010. 

The International Symposium on Metallomics is a biannual event, and the Chair of the 2009 conference was Professor Joseph A. Caruso, University of Cincinnati and Metallomics Center of the Americas. The next meeting in the series will be held from 15-18 June, 2011, at the University of Münster, Germany, so mark the dates in your calendar now as it is sure to be an excellent meeting!
