The 2007 Natural Product Reports Lecture Award has been won by Professor RX Tan, Nanjing University, China.

In 2006, Tan, who is an advisory board member for the journal, was guest editor for a special issue of NPR  entitled 'Natural products chemistry in China. The award acknowledges Tan's work in evaluating the possibilities of endophyte derived natural products and reflects his efforts as guest editor.

The meeting at which Tan will give his award lecture will be announced shortly.

NPR  sponsors a lecture each year at an international meeting. The recipient will have made a significant research contribution to natural products chemistry in its broadest sense, and will have published in or have had some affiliation to the journal. The award is open to anyone fitting these criteria.
