The latest issue of NPR is now available, featuring a Highlight, four reviews and the latest Hot off the Press digest. 

The cover image (above) shows the Chinese herb, Justicia procumbens L., which is used as a herbal remedy for the treatment of fever, pain due to laryngopharyngeal swelling and cancer in China. A number of arylnaphthalide lignans are produced by this plant, including the antitumor 6'-hydroxyjusticidins A-C. These and other lignans are discussed in the latest article by Mei-Hua Yang (Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, China), Jun Wu (Chinese Academy of Sciences, China) and Jari Sinkkonen (University of Turku, Finland).
