NPR Lecture Award - Call for Nominations!

16 October 2006

The 2007 NPR Lecture Award is now open for nominations.

NPR sponsors a lecture each year at an international meeting. The recipient will have made a significant research contribution to natural products chemistry in its broadest sense, and will have published in or have had some affiliation to NPR. The award is open to anyone fitting these criteria.

Nominations should consist of a name, and a brief explanation (max. 300 words) as to why the nominee should receive the award. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges, who will announce the result in early 2007.

Nominations should be sent to the editorial office, and must be received by 30th November 2006.

Previous winners of the award include John Blunt of the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and Chris Schofield of the University of Oxford, UK. Blunt gave his NPR award lecture at the 2006 American Society of Pharmacognosy Conference, while Schofield presented at the 40th European Symposium on Bio-Organic Chemistry.
