A high impact peer reviewed journal publishing experimental and theoretical work across the breadth of nanoscience and nanotechnology
New journal announced: Nanoscale
05 March 2009
The new journal, which will be a collaborative venture between RSC Publishing and leading nanoscience research centre, the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST) in Beijing, China, will publish experimental and theoretical work across the breadth of nanoscience and nanotechnology. It will have monthly issues containing a full mix of research articles including Communications, Reviews, and Full papers.
Professor Chunli Bai, Director of NCNST and Executive Vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is a keen proponent of this international enterprise; 'National Center for Nanoscience and Technology is looking forward to collaborating with RSC Publishing in developing Nanoscale, so that we can work together to establish a new chapter in the process of promoting nanoscience and nanotechnology'. Professor Bai will be Editor-in-Chief of a new Asia-Pacific editorial office for Nanoscale.
Two further regional editorial offices in Europe and North America will be headed by Markus Niederberger of ETH Zurich and Francesco Stellacci from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Highly interdisciplinary, Nanoscale will appeal to scientists, researchers and professionals interested in nanoscience and nanotechnology, including the areas of medicine, materials, energy/environment, information technology, detection science, healthcare and drug discovery, and electronics.
From launch, the latest issue of Nanoscale will be made freely available to all readers via the website. Free online institutional access to all 2009/2010 content will be available following a simple registration process.
