OBC - celebrating 5 years of publishing
Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry is celebrating the start of its fifth year of publication.

In 2007 OBC will continue its dedication to providing the highest quality service to both its authors and readers.
OBC will also continue to bring you technological innovations. Recent developments such as 3D-visualisation (a feature which allows readers to view 3D representations of PDB structures quickly and easily using first glance in Jmol) and RSS feeds will be complemented in 2007 by even more exciting features.
2007 will see the second annual OBC award lecture presented at the 20th International Symposium on Synthesis in Organic Chemistry in Cambridge. The lecture will be given by Professor Ben List from the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung, Germany, whose Emerging Area article entitled Asymmetric Organocatalysis is one of the most highly accessed and cited articles in OBC's history.
Key benefits of publishing in OBC are:
- easy online submission and manuscript tracking via ReSourCe
- high impact factor of 2.55
- free colour where scientifically justified
- short publication times, as low as 24 days from acceptance for papers, and 14 days for communications
- RSC Open Science, offering you the option of paying a fee in exchange for making your research paper available to all, via the web
- high exposure - top papers highlighted in the wider scientific press
Remember to check the OBC website to see the many fifth birthday features that will appear throughout the year.
