Jenna Head from Pfizer won the OBC poster prize at the Advances in Synthetic Chemistry conference held on 16th-17th April 2009 in Edinburgh, UK. 

This annual conference and exhibition highlighted some of the latest advances in synthesis techniques and technologies, in particular focusing on microwave and flow reactor design and chemistry.

Professor Oliver Kappe (Karl-Franzens University, Graz, Austria), Dr Bruno Linclau (University of Southampton, UK) and Dr Michael Greaney (University of Edinburgh, UK) helped to judge the posters and, while they agreed that all the posters demonstrated interesting chemistry and technologies, they chose Jenna Head's poster on 'Synthesis of biologically active quinazolines' as the winner.

As her prize, Jenna receives an OBC poster prize certificate, a one-year subscription to the journal and a copy of the RSC book 'Seminars in Organic Synthesis: Volume 18'.
