Pauline Chiu

Pauline Chiu obtained her PhD at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Prof. Mark Lautens. She then moved to Columbia University to work with Prof. Samuel J. Danishefsky as a postdoctoral fellow. In 1995 she started working at the University of Hong Kong. She is currently Professor in organic chemistry at this University.

Pauline's work focuses on the development of new organic synthetic methodologies, especially cascade reactions and the construction of polycyclic compounds, as well as the total synthesis of natural products.
