Professor Veronique Gouverneur
Véronique Gouverneur received her MSc and Ph D in chemistry at the Universite Catholique de Louvain (Belgium), working with Prof. L. Ghosez. In 1992, she moved to a postdoctoral position with Prof. R. Lerner at the Scripps Research Institute (USA). She returned to Europe in 1994 where she took a position of Maitre de Conference at the University Louis Pasteur (France). In 1998, she joined the chemistry faculty at the University of Oxford as a University Lecturer (UK). Since then, she holds a tutorial fellowship at Merton College. She became Professor of Chemistry in 2008. Her research interests are centred on fluorine and phosphorus chemistry. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the RSC journal Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry since 2007. She is the UK representative of EUCHEM's organic chemistry division and she is Chairman of the RSC fluorine group.
