Professor Christopher W Bielawski

Christopher W. Bielawski is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Austin. He holds degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (B.S., 1997) and the California Institute of Technology (Ph.D., 2003). Prof. Bielawski's research program lies at the interface of polymer science and materials chemistry, and focuses on the synthesis and study of unique organic and organometallic macromolecules. His contributions to research and education have been recognized with a National Science Foundation CAREER Award, an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship, Young Investigator Awards from the Beckman Foundation and the Office of Naval Research, a Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award, a Research Corporation Cottrell Scholar Award, and a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE).
