Professor Hubert Girault

Hubert H. Girault is currently director of the Laboratory of Analytical and Physical Electrochemistry at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland. After a PhD at Southampton University (UK), he was lecturer at Edinburgh University, Scotland (1985-1992). His research activities include spectro-electrochemistry at liquid-liquid interfaces, electrochemical micro-analytical systems for immunoassay, electrophoresis for proteomic applications and electrochemical ionisation methods for mass spectrometry. In 2006, he was the recipient of the Faraday Medal from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
