Issue 12, 2007

A mobile C4D cell is scanned by hand over a C18 capillary monolith, coated with an ionic surfactant. Using a stationary ruler as a calibration scale, the precise longitudinal locations of charged groups along the column at three separate times during column equilibrium are visualised as a change in conductivity.  Image reproduced by permission of Damian Connolly.
