Award-winning Analyst Scientific Editor for Reviews

Professor Duncan Graham, Analyst Scientific Editor for Reviews, has been awarded a 2009 Corday-Morgan Prize for outstanding and pioneering contributions to nanometrology in support of molecular manipulation and chemical and biological detection systems.

Duncan's interests are in using synthetic chemistry to produce nanosensors that respond to a specific biological species or event and he has a group of around 25 working on various aspects of this area of science. He joined the Analyst Editorial Board in April 2006 and was appointed as Analyst Scientific Editor, Reviews at the beginning of 2008.
Professor Graham Cooks, also a member of the Editorial Board of Analyst, was presented with the 2008 Robert Boyle Medal at the recent Analytical Division Awards Ceremony in Manchester. The Medal was awarded in recognition of Professor Cooks' exceptional body of work over the past 30 years covering various areas of analytical chemistry and in particular, for his research on gas phase ion kinetics and mass spectrometry.
