Record-breaking impact for Analyst!
25 June 2009
Newly released ISI citation data show the Analyst's 2008 impact factor at 3.761, a further rise from its 2007 value. This further reinforces Analyst's position as the highest ranked European general analytical chemistry journal and continues its impressive rise - over 30% in three years.

This striking result, combined with the journal's attractive mix of Reviews, Communications, Full Papers and topical themed issues, it is clear to see why Analyst is the journal of choice for publishing urgent new work of the highest quality in analytical, bioanalytical and detection science.
The impact factor is a measure of the number of times an "average article" in a journal has been cited in a particular year. The impact factor for 2008 is calculated from the total number of citations given in 2008 to articles published in 2006 and 2007, divided by the number of articles published in 2006 and 2007.
We would like to thank our authors, referees and readers for their part in helping us to achieve this success.
