Chemical Biology

Chemical biology news and research from across RSC Publishing.

Happy Birthday to Chemical Biology

Chemical Biology is one year old - and what better way to celebrate a birthday than with expanded content, a fresh new look and new article types!

Launched in January 2006, Chemical Biology is marking the end of a successful first year with a number of developments - the first of which is additional online content. Research articles, a comprehensive point of access to all chemical biology content from across RSC journals, is now part of Chemical Biology online. Fully searchable, and including reviews as well as primary research material, the service provides free access to selected items for a limited period.

Chemical Biology is expanding to eight pages in print, with a striking new cover page. Essential elements will continue to keep you up to date with stories from around RSC Publishing. And that's not all - inside, in addition to the popular Research highlights, new article types to look out for are Instant insights - whirlwind tours of exciting areas - and Interviews

Instant Insight page view

In the first of the Instant insights, Elba Villegas and Gerardo Corzo set the record straight about spiders and Ivan Dmochowski and XinJing Tang shed light on gene regulation.

Chemical Biology editorial staff have also been busy talking to leading scientists: Wolfgang Lubitz, managing director of the Max Planck Institute for Bioinorganic Chemistry in Mulheim, Germany; Ben Davis, professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Oxford, UK; and Leroy Hood, co-founder of the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle, USA. Hear what they had to say in Interviews to be published in the next few weeks.

So Chemical Biology is now bigger and better than ever - make sure you read it today.

From January 2007, Chemical Biology is available as a free print supplement in Chemical Communications and Dalton Transactions, as well as Molecular BioSystems, Natural Product Reports, Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry and Photochemical & Photobiological Sciences.
