Anna grew up in Canterbury and then moved north to attend Leeds University where she studied for an MChem in Medicinal Chemistry.  After graduating in 2004, she worked as a medicinal chemist for a year before moving to Newcastle to study for a PhD in medicinal and organic chemistry with the Northern Institute for Cancer Research.  Anna joined the RSC as a Trainee Assistant Editor for ChemComm in September 2009.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, going to the cinema and running.
