Chris Easton

Chris Easton is an Australian, where he received his Ph.D. from the University of Adelaide with A.L.J. Beckwith, before taking up a postdoctoral position at Harvard University with J.R. Knowles. He then held appointments at the Australian National University, the University of Canterbury in New Zealand and the University of Adelaide, before returning to the Australian National University where he is now Professor of Chemistry, Deputy Dean of School and Deputy Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Free Radical Chemistry and Biotechnology. His principal research interests involve studies of organic and biological reaction mechanisms, particularly those related to amino acid and peptide free radicals, as well as supramolecular chemistry and molecular recognition, the latter based primarily on modified cyclodextrins.
