Henry N. C. Wong

Henry Wong obtained his B.Sc. degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1973, and his Ph.D. degree in 1976 from University College London under the supervision of the late Professor Franz Sondheimer. After two postdoctoral research years at Harvard University with the late Professor Robert B. Woodward, Henry Wong returned to University College London to begin his independent research undertaking as a Ramsay Memorial Fellow. From 1980 to 1982, Henry Wong did research at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1982, Henry Wong returned to Hong Kong and is presently Professor of Chemistry at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Henry Wong's research interests concern the chemistry of organosilicon and heterocyclic compounds, as well as syntheses of natural and non-natural molecules. He has published more than 170 research papers, invited reviews and book chapters.
