Kuiling Ding

Kuiling Ding received his B.S. degree from Zhengzhou University (1985) and Ph.D. degree from Nanjing University (1990) under the supervision of Prof. Yangjie Wu. He was a faculty member of Zhengzhou University from 1990 to 1998, and was promoted as a full professor in 1995. During 1993-1994, he engaged in a postdoctoral research with Prof. Teruo Matsuura at Ryukoku University, Kyoto, Japan. In the period of 1997 to 1998, he was a UNESCO research fellow with Prof. Koichi Mikami at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan. He joined Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry in 1999, where currently he is a professor of chemistry and deputy director. His current research interests include the development of new chiral catalysts and methodologies for both homogeneous and heterogeneous asymmetric catalyses.
