Design and understanding of solid-state and crystalline materials

Call for Papers: Crystal Growth

12 March 2010

CrystEngComm is delighted to announce an upcoming themed issue entitled Crystal Growth, with Guest Editor Professor Jennifer Swift. It is our pleasure to invite you to contribute to this themed issue.

Understanding crystal nucleation and growth is a fundamentally important aspect of crystal engineering. It can provide insight into polymorph formation, phase transformations, morphology evolution, the role of defects and impurities and higher level composite material formation. The aim of this themed issue will be to bring together a range of different contributions from leading groups working in the field. Contributions in both experimental and theoretical aspects of molecular nucleation and/or growth are welcome. Ideally, a contribution should include: 1) an introduction, with a self-contained but concise description of the context of the work, 2) a report of novel, cutting edge findings, 3) a critical assessment of the implications, future possibilities and goals within reach.

Deadline for Submission: 9 July 2010

The manuscript should be prepared according to the format for regular articles and will be subjected to the normal refereeing procedure. Manuscripts should be submitted no later than 9th July 2010 by using the ReSourCe web submissions service or as an email attachment to the CrystEngComm Editorial Office. Please indicate on submission that your manuscript is intended for this themed issue.

We would be pleased to hear from you if you are interested in contributing to this themed issue or if you would like any further information.
