CrystEngComm is delighted to announce an upcoming themed issue entitled Reactions in Molecular Solids and Host-Guest Systems, with Guest Editors Len MacGillivray and Jerry Atwood. It is our pleasure to invite you to contribute to this themed issue.

This themed issue is being organised to celebrate the achievements of the late Professor Fumio Toda, who contributed so much to this area during his academic career. The themed issue will be opened by a short dedication to Professor Fumio Toda and each article in the issue will include (with your agreement) a dedication to Professor Toda. The issue will comprise articles with a focus on host-guest systems in the solid state, solution phase studies providing insight into solid-state systems, phase transitions, and polymorphism. Ideally, a contribution should include: 1) an introduction, with a self-contained but concise description of the context of the work, 2) a report of novel, cutting edge findings, and 3) a critical assessment of the implications, future possibilities and goals, within reach. The themed issue will contain Highlights, Communications and Full Papers.

Deadline for Submission: 10 August 2010

The manuscript should be prepared according to the format for regular articles and will be subjected to the normal refereeing procedure. Manuscripts should be submitted no later than 10th August 2010 by using the ReSourCe web submissions service or as an email attachment to the CrystEngComm Editorial Office. Please indicate on submission that your manuscript is intended for this themed issue.
