Visitors to the RSC's website have had their say and the most popular CrystEngComm cover image of 2006 has been decided. The artwork, produced by Isao Azumaya and colleagues at Tokushima Bunri University, Kagawa in Japan, depicts the structural and optical manipulation of a layered 2D coordination network by a variety of metal cations.
And the winner is...

The cover gallery competition was launched in 2005 and visitors to the RSC website have responded with great enthusiasm. "We are delighted that so many readers wished to celebrate one of the creative sides of RSC Publishing" commented David Riddick, Production Manager. "The total number of votes cast demonstrates the popularity of the competition. I can envisage this becoming an annual event!"
