Not only has Chem Soc Rev now the largest number of published reviews, but it continues to publish high impact, high quality reviews by esteemed scientists such as Edward Solomon, Krzysztof Matyjaszewski and Oliver Kappe.

Chem Soc Rev also features topical themed issues covering the hottest areas in the chemical sciences. Recent issues have spanned topics from Renewable Energy guest edited by Daniel Nocera and Dirk Guldi to Gold - Chemistry, Materials and Catalysis guest edited by Graham Hutchings, Mathias Brust and Hubert Schmidbaur.

"When I was a student and the Beatles were all the rage, Quarterly Reviews - the father of Chem Soc Rev - was the primary fountain of knowledge in chemistry. A generation later, all I can say is that Chem Soc Rev is doing its father proud."
- Professor Sir Fraser Stoddart, Northwestern University, USA
In 2008, Chem Soc Rev  also published a themed issue on Chemistry at Surfaces dedicated to Nobel Prize winner, Professor Gerhard Ertl. Several other exciting issues will be published in 2009 including Metal Organic Frameworks and Complexity in Organic Synthesis.
