03 September 2009

Bernhard Lippert received the 2009 Chem Soc Rev Lecture award at the 14th International Conference on Biological Inorganic Chemistry (ICBIC) on July 27th 2009 in Nagoya, Japan.  With over 380 publications, Bernhard Lippert, from the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany, was chosen by the Chem Soc Rev Editorial Board to receive this award for his contributions to the field of bioinorganic chemistry. Professor Lippert, who gave his lecture on molecular architectures with pyrimidine nucleobases, said that the award came as a surprise to him as he was not aware that he had been nominated. "I am very honoured to receive this award from a journal with such a high reputation within the community," he added.
