Read the papers from the latest Dalton Discussion meeting!
Issue 33, 2008 of Dalton Transactions contains papers which were presented at the 11th Dalton Discussion meeting, which was held at the University of California, Berkeley, US from 23-25 June, 2008. This was the first time a DD meeting has ever been held outside Europe. DD11 brought together some of the world leaders in the field for an intensive, three day meeting, highlighting some of the more important recent developments in the area of main group chemistry.
The meeting was organized around four general themes: main group multiple bonds and unusual oxidation states; main group in macromolecules/rings/clusters; main group elements as ligands in organometallic chemistry; coordination complexes and main group materials.
One of the highlights of this meeting was the breadth and interdisciplinary nature of the discussion. This created an opportunity for members of the main group community to gain insights into the latest developments in areas outside of their own speciality and to discuss a wide-range of topics.
We hope that you enjoy reading the articles in this issue.
