Nominations are invited for the Dalton Transactions European Lectureship, given to recognise the achievements of an emerging European inorganic chemist. 

Other key features of the prize are

• The award recognises the achievements of a young European inorganic chemist.    
  
• The award will be made once a year, in the autumn.
• There will be one recipient of the award a year.
• The recipient of the award should be in the first 12 years of receiving their PhD.
• The recipient of the award will be asked to present a lecture three times.   One of these will be in the UK and one in the home country of the recipient.
• The Dalton Transactions Editorial Office will provide the sum of £1500 to the recipient for travel and accommodation costs.
• Applications should consist of a nomination letter, a letter seconding the nomination, a cv (maximum 5 pages) and a statement from the candidate (not more than one page) describing their most significant research contributions.            

Nominations are invited for the 2009 Lectureship. Those wishing to make a nomination should send details by email to the Dalton Transactions Editorial Office by 31 March 2009.

The lectureship will be announced in the autumn of 2009.
