Dalton Transactions European Lectureship

Nominations are invited for the Dalton Transactions European Lectureship, given to recognise the achievements of an emerging European inorganic chemist.
Other key features of the prize are
- The award recognises the achievements of a young European inorganic chemist.

- The award will be made once a year, in the autumn.
- There will be one recipient of the award a year.
- The recipient of the award should be in the first 12 years of receiving their PhD.
- The recipient of the award will be asked to present a lecture three times. One of these will be in the UK and one in the home country of the recipient.
- The Dalton Transactions Editorial Office will provide the sum of £1500 to the recipient for travel and accommodation costs.
- Applications should consist of a nomination letter, a letter seconding the nomination, a cv (maximum 5 pages) and a statement from the candidate (not more than one page) describing their most significant research contributions.
Nominations are invited for the 2009 Lectureship. Those wishing to make a nomination should send details by email to the Dalton Transactions Editorial Office by 31 March 2009.
The lectureship will be announced in the autumn of 2009.
